NASCAR returns to Kentucky Speedway on June 26 through 28, and Speedway Children's Charities (SCC) is planning four exciting fundraising events for the race weekend. The charity will be hosting an SCC Week at two Snappy Tomato Pizza locations, the Putt-Putt Challenge, the Campground Cornhole Tournament, and the Ride of a Lifetime Live Auction.
Chapter Director Dayna Winslette hopes that fans will enjoy the charity events while they are in town for the NASCAR races.
"Race weekends at Kentucky Speedway are very exciting for SCC," said Winslette. "We hope to provide fans with activities that they will enjoy and remember while they are visiting the track. In addition, fans know their donations at each activity are going back into the community to help worthy children's organizations.
A weeklong fundraiser at Snappy Tomato Pizza in Warsaw and Carrollton kicks off SCC's fundraisers June 22 through 28. Both locations are donating 15 percent of each patron's check to Speedway Children's Charities when they present the SCC flyer. The flyer is valid for dine in, carryout and delivery at either location, and can be obtained on the SCC website.
The Putt-Putt Challenge, Campground Cornhole Tournament, and Ride of a Lifetime Live Auction all occur at the track June 26 through 28. At the Putt-Putt Challenge, fans will be entered into a drawing for two 3-day passes to the Buckle Up Music Festival if they sink a putt in three shots or less. The SCC Cornhole Tournament returns to the campgrounds on Friday and Saturday of race weekend, where teams of two are invited to play for the title of Kentucky Speedway's Cornhole Champions. On Friday, June 27, the Ride of a Lifetime Live Auction allows fans to bid on a chance to ride with their favorite NASCAR driver in the Parade Lap before the Quaker State 400 presented by Advance Auto Parts the following day.
All proceeds from these fundraisers go to local children's organizations through Speedway Children's Charities grant program.
