BRISTOL, TENN. (June 3, 2015) - The stars of the NHRA Drag Racing Series thunder into Bristol Dragway June 19-21. Before they strap into their cars to compete in the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals, top drivers will be in Bristol, Va., June 18 to raise money for local children in need.

The first annual Bristol Dragway Celebrity Shooting Tournament presented by NRA will take place at the Kettlefoot Rod and Gun Club, 2 p.m., June 18. Proceeds from the event will benefit Speedway Children's Charities.

NHRA Drag Racing drivers including 2014 world champions Matt Hagan and Erica Enders, along with Allen Johnson from Greeneville, Tenn., Leah Pritchett, Robert Hight, John Gaydosh and others are among the celebrities scheduled to participate.

"This is an exciting new event for us and we hope the local community comes out to support area children in need," said Claudia Byrd, executive director of the Bristol Chapter of Speedway's Children Charities. "The NHRA drivers are always a lot of fun and we are thankful to them for their support."
