As you may know, Speedway Children's Charities (SCC) is the Official Charity of Kentucky Speedway and its parent company, Speedway Motorsports Inc. (SMI). Simply put, our sole concern is to help children in need. We do this by forming relationships with children's organizations in our community and providing grant funding to these non-profits for programs and projects that directly impact the lives of children in our area.
SCC helps THEM - the organizations - help the children they serve every day. The grants we provide give these organizations the extra bit of money they need to meet the needs of these children that may otherwise be left unmet.
Locally, grant funding has been used to provide beds to children who sleep in deplorable conditions, therapy programs and camps for children with disabilities, food for economically disadvantaged youth, care packages for cancer patients and services for kids housed in youth shelters, just to name a few.
However, SCC cannot do this alone. We rely on the generosity of local partners in the area and fans who attend the events at Kentucky Speedway. Throughout the year, SCC will post opportunities and information about how you - a local business, a community partner, a fan - can be more involved with our charity, but here is a snapshot of what is to come.
