The Kentucky Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities will host the Third Annual Laps for Charity on Thursday, September 18 at Kentucky Speedway. This fundraiser will kick off the track's September race weekend activities, which includes the ARCA Series Zloop 150 and NASCAR Nationwide Series VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300.

This third-annual, family-fun event allows fans the opportunity to drive five laps around the track in their personal vehicles and have their photo taken in Victory Lane. In addition, ARCA Racing Series drivers Austin Wayne Self, Thomas Praytor, and Mason Mitchell will be signing autographs when participants pick up their photos following their laps.

Driving his first complete ARCA schedule under Cunningham Motorsports, Austin Wayne Self is a contender for the Rookie of the Year honors in 2014. Thomas "The Moose" Praytor is currently driving his second complete year in the ARCA Series with Hixson Motorsports. Mason Mitchell is the current points leader in the series, and he place second in the Zloop 150 in 2013.

Fans will be able to drive the track in their street-legal vehicle from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The cost for this opportunity is $40 per vehicle. As an added bonus, the first 100 cars will receive a commemorative Laps for Charity decal.

All funds raised from this event will benefit the Kentucky Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities. Please note, this event is weather permitting. Please check the charity's website and social media pages leading up to the event for any updates.
