2009 "Racing for Kids" Prize Announced
Thanks to the best sports fans in the world, Speedway Children's Charities was able to fund over 400 children's organizations across the United States with proceeds from 2008 corporate sponsorships and fan events at Speedway Motorsports, Inc. facilities.
The winner of the 2009 "Racing For Kids" drawing will receive a 2009 Custom Harley-Davidson Street Glide supplied by TCX Customs of Matthews, NC, featuring original artwork by NASCAR artist Sam Bass. Jeff Clark of TCX Customs and Bass have once again created a unique take on an American tradition.
Tickets are available with a donation to Speedway Children's Charities "Racing for Kids" drawing throughout the 2009 race season at all Speedway Motorsports, Inc. Sprint Cup events. Visit our web site www.speedwaycharities.org to see photos of the 2008 winners and to see a schedule of events in your local area for the 2009 race season. All proceeds raised in your local area stay there to benefit the lives of children in crisis. Fans will have the opportunity to view the bike and purchase tickets for $5 each, or five tickets for $20 at the trailer located in souvenir row at each event. The drawing will be held Nov. 8, 2009 before the start of the Dickies 500 at Texas Motor Speedway.

The mission of Speedway Children's Charities remains true to the ideals it was founded upon in 1982: To care for children in educational, financial, social and medical need in order to help them lead productive lives.
SCC provides funding for hundreds of non-profit organizations throughout the nation that meet the direct needs of children. Our vision is that every child has the same opportunities no matter what obstacle they are facing.
The Cycle Xchange, is a custom motorcycle design, manufacturing and repair facility led by Jeff and Brian Clark in Matthews, N.C. Jeff Clark has been involved in the sport of NASCAR as an engine designer/builder, car tuner and jack-man for Dale Earnhardt Jr., Davey Allison, Ernie Irvin, Dale Jarrett and Rusty Wallace for the past 18 years. Brian Clark was an integral member of Dale Jarrett's 1999 championship team during his seven years in NASCAR.
Both Jeff and Brian have brought to the Cycle Xchange the same drive that produced wins at the historical Daytona International Speedway, storied Talladega SuperSpeedway, the prestigious Brickyard, a NASCAR Winston Cup Championship and a total 47 NASCAR Winston/Nextel Cup Series wins. The Cycle Xchange employs an All-Pro crew of Certified Motorcycle Technicians with more than 50 years of experience.
Sam Bass is the most accomplished artist in NASCAR. Since 1987, he has created race team graphics for corporate America's leading sponsors, NASCAR team owners and drivers. He also is known for his fine-art original paintings and a distinctive style when it comes to his design of souvenir program covers, racing-themed ad campaigns, posters, apparel and custom shop guitars. His personal studio and motor sports art gallery in Concord are adjacent to Lowe's Motor Speedway. He is the first officially licensed artist of NASCAR.
